Turner, author of Brigham Young: Pioneer Prophet (2012), the biography many historians consider the best account of Brigham Young’s life.
The series follows Brigham from his hardscrabble New England childhood and his conversion to Joseph Smith’s church, through Kirtland, Missouri, Nauvoo, and the succession crisis, to the exodus west, the founding of Utah, polygamy, the Utah War, the Mountain Meadows Massacre, and his decades as prophet, governor, and colonizer. New episodes are released weekly.
